Cookie Policy

Which entries this website keeps in your browser and how you can change your decision.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Here journylo explains which entries journylo.com may leave on your device, what each kind is for, how an answer to the cookie notice is kept and how you can change it at any time.

1. About cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a short piece of text that a site leaves in your browser to remember a setting or a choice. Browsers have a comparable local storage area for small entries that stay until they are deleted, and this policy treats both in the same way.

2. Storage periods

Some cookies last only until the browser is closed; others are kept for a limited time so that a setting is still known on your next visit. The value saved by a cookie notice has no expiry date and stays in the browser until it is deleted there.

3. Withdrawing your consent and deleting cookies

Consent given earlier can be withdrawn at any time, as easily as it was given: clear the data this website has stored in your browser and open a page again, so the saved answer is gone and, where a notice is shown, you can decide once more. Independently of that, every common browser offers settings for cookies and site data, where stored entries can be inspected or deleted.

4. Content embedded from other providers

We do not embed services from other providers that would set cookies of their own. If a map, a video or a comparable element were added later, its provider could place entries on your device as soon as it loads, and this policy would be updated before such content goes live.

5. Tracking, profiling and data protection

This website uses no advertising cookies, no marketing pixels and no trackers that follow you to other sites, and nothing about your visit is sold or passed on for advertising. Where an entry can be linked to a person, our privacy policy explains the grounds, the storage periods and your rights.

6. Categories used on this website

Only a few entries are needed to run this website, which presents information and contact details rather than an account area or an online shop. Strictly necessary entries keep the pages usable and secure and include any value that remembers a decision about a cookie notice; for them no consent is required under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

One of these entries is a cookie set by the server that delivers the pages. It holds a random identifier, no name or contact details, and lets the server recognise a browser that comes back, so that one visit is handled as one and automated misuse can be turned away. It is renewed with each visit and expires 30 days after the last one.

7. Consent and the cookie notice

Where a cookie notice is displayed, the only thing it saves is your answer, agreement or refusal, as one value in the local storage of the browser you are using (localStorage), after which it stays hidden. It appears again in a different browser or on a different device, and wherever storage is blocked.

8. Changes and contact

We review this policy when the website changes, when functions are added and when legal requirements develop; only the version published here applies, and the date above shows when it was last revised. Questions about it can be sent to journylo at [email protected], or asked by telephone on 01865 430172.
